  6. Gnuplot is a command-driven interactive function plotting program.  It
  7. can be used to plot functions and data points in both two- and three-
  8. dimensional plots in many different formats, and will accommodate many
  9. of the needs of today's scientists for graphic data representation.
  10. Gnuplot is copyrighted, but freely distributable; you don't have to pay
  11. for it.
  12.  
  13. Gnuplot offers:
  14.  
  15. - Plotting of two - dimensional functions and data points in many different
  16.   styles (points, lines, error bars)
  17. - plotting of three - dimensional data points and surfaces in many
  18.   different styles (contour plot, mesh).
  19. - support for complex arithmetic
  20. - self - defined functions
  21. - support for a large number of operating systems, graphics file formats
  22.   and devices
  23. - extensive on-line help
  24. - labels for title, axes, data points
  25. - command line editing and history on most platforms
  26.  
  27. Due to popular demand I (the author of the Amiga port) have uploaded
  28. gnuplot 3.5 again. I am fairly sure that this version of gnuplot runs
  29. stable on all Amigas. If not, please contact me with an appropriate
  30. bug description and an example that provides the minimal set of
  31. commands to produce the error.

  33. PS: Please note: Any reference to GNUplot is incorrect. The real name
  34. of the program is "gnuplot".  You see people use "Gnuplot" quite a bit
  35. because many of us have an aversion to starting a sentence with a
  36. lower case letter, even in the case of proper nouns and titles.
